Kasabushi campsite is located on the western bank of the Kafue River, with views of the river to a palm-covered island as well as up and downstream with resident pods of hippos wallowing in the river. Elephants can be seen crossing from the island to the mainland later in the dry season. Kasabushi Campsite is open all year.

The campsite is for self-catering campers only. There are five shady riverside camping spots, each with its own fireplace. Each site can host 2-3 vehicles or ground tents. Facilities include two waterfall showers, two wash basins, two flushing toilets and a dishwashing area with hot & cold running water. Function and form are priorities and the campsite is well-maintained with a great attention to detail. 

Use of a braai stand is included in the nightly charge. All designated pitches are by the river and pre-held for campers that book ahead. Firewood is available at extra cost. Our friendly camp managers are there to supply wood and manage all fireplaces and donkey boilers. 

The campsite is surrounded by different species of trees, the main pitches have shade. The grass disappears late in the dry season leaving brown grass and sandy soil. All pitches give campers space and privacy to enjoy their home in the bush in peace and quiet. Every pitch has got a wooden table and chair set up, perfectly positioned for having a sundowner or to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning.

Communal Ablutions with hot & cold waterfall showers, flushing toilets, washing basins, dishwashing area, signature scented hand soap, private fireplace, river view, shaded campspot. 

Self-Catering Only

A take away service is provided with a selected menu of freshly prepared meals. 

(Only available when pre-ordered due to our remote location and limited acces to supplies) 

A selection of drinks are for sale on the campsite. 

No meals are included in the rates and there is no restaurant.

If early check in or late check out is requested we will do our best to accommodate. However, this is not always possible.
