A view from above brings it all into perspective. This is our 'roundhouse' (the communal area for our lodge guests) at Kasabushi, nestled on the banks of the Kafue river in the Kafue National Park. From this vantage point, you can truly appreciate the wild surroundings and the serenity of nature. Look closely, and you'll see the rocks beneath the crystal-clear waters of the Kafue River, a testament to the purity of our natural environment.

It was an eye opening experience as we delved into snake identification and first aid. Thanks to Marcel van Driel from HHISS for sharing the knowledge that could make all the difference in an encounter with these animals. From Puff Adders to Cobras every snake has a story. An owner of a zoo was looking to expand on his collection and thus he reached out to a wild life supplier;
"Dear Sir,
Please send us two Mongeese"
No he thought, that does not sound right. So he tore the letter and started again.
"Dear Sir,
Please send us two Mongooses"
No still doesn't sound correct, lets try again.
"Dear Sir,
Please send us two Mongi"
No, still not it. Now getting slightly frustrated he thought to try a different approach.
"Dear Sir,
Please send us one Mongoose.
